Privacy Policy
Drag Racing Unlimited is operated by Gabriel Ticala, sole trader, Portugal ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@dragracingunlimited.com.
The Game is designed guest-first and data-minimised: you can play without creating an account, and we collect only what the Game needs to run, keep your progress safe, process purchases, show ads where permitted, and keep the Game fair.
1. What we collect
| Data | Why | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifier (a per-app, resettable ID assigned by iOS or Android) | Creates your guest account and saves progress without an email or password | Your device |
| Nickname you choose | Shown in-game and on leaderboards | You |
| Birth month and year, entered once | To apply an age-appropriate experience. We keep only the resulting age tier, not the date you entered | You |
| Country / region | To apply the correct privacy rules and store pricing | Your store account or device settings |
| Game data: progress, cars, upgrades, in-game currency, race results, settings | To run the Game and keep your progress | Your play |
| Purchase records: product bought, store transaction ID, store receipt | To verify and deliver purchases, restore them, and handle refunds. We never see your card number | Apple App Store / Google Play |
| Apple or Google sign-in identifier (optional, only if you link) | To protect and recover your progress across devices | Apple / Google, with your consent |
| Technical and gameplay events: device model, OS version, app version, session ID, performance metrics, gameplay actions, errors | To keep the Game stable, balance it, and detect cheating | The Game |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) — only with your permission | Personalised ads and ad measurement. Without permission ads are shown non-personalised | Your device, via the ad SDKs below |
| Crash reports | To fix crashes | Apple / Google platform diagnostics, per your device settings |
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, photos, or payment card details.
2. Why we may process it (legal bases)
Contract — running the Game, saving progress, delivering purchases. Legitimate interests — security, anti-cheat, stability, aggregated analytics, non-personalised ads. Consent — personalised advertising and any tracking across apps (iOS App Tracking Transparency, EU/UK consent prompt), optional account linking. Legal obligation — tax and accounting records for purchases.
3. Children and younger players
Players under 13 (or the applicable digital-consent age in their region) get a restricted, data-minimised experience: no personalised advertising, no advertising identifier, no tracking SDKs, no social account linking, and no real-money purchases without a parent's involvement through the store's own parental controls. We do not knowingly collect more data from children than the Game needs to run. If you believe a child has provided data beyond this, contact privacy@dragracingunlimited.com and we will delete it.
4. Who we share data with
| Provider | Purpose | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure PlayFab and Azure Functions | Game backend: accounts, saves, purchase verification, events | Microsoft |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Payments, receipts, sign-in (if linked), crash diagnostics | Apple · Google |
| Unity Technologies | Game engine and in-app purchase library | Unity |
| AppLovin MAX (ad mediation) with Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Pangle, InMobi | Rewarded and interstitial ads. Initialised only after your consent choice, and never for restricted-age players | AppLovin · Google · Meta · Pangle · InMobi |
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect players and the Game from fraud or abuse.
5. International transfers
Our backend runs on Microsoft Azure in the EU and US. Where data leaves the EEA/UK we rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
Account and game data: while your account is active and for up to 30 days after a deletion request (the grace period during which you can cancel). Purchase records: as long as tax law requires, typically 10 years, kept separately from the game account. Technical events: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated. Advertising identifiers: handled by the ad providers under their own retention rules.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time (for example, change the tracking permission in your device settings). Use Settings → Account in the Game, or email privacy@dragracingunlimited.com. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your data-protection authority; in Portugal that is the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
8. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, purchases are verified server-side, and game state is held on our servers rather than trusted from the device. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Changes
We will post updates here and, for material changes, ask you to accept the new version in the Game before continuing. The version and date at the top tell you which policy applies.
